Sime Darby Property honoured at StarProperty.my Awards 2016
Proud recipient of The All-Star Award presented by HRH Sultan of Selangor.
 
ARA DAMANSARA, 16 March 2016 - Sime Darby Property, the leader in developing sustainable communities, continues to bolster its position as a top property developer in Malaysia by winning two awards at the StarProperty.my Awards 2016, held at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Sime Darby Property was the proud recipient of the The All-Star Award - Top Ranked Developers of the Year, an accolade recognising the developer’s consistency in creating and adding value to its property projects.

The award was presented by His Royal Highness Sultan of Selangor, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj. On hand to receive the honour was YBhg. Dato’ Wan Hashimi Albakri, Sime Darby Property’s Senior Vice President of Property Investment and Asset Management.

Sime Darby Property also received the Honours Award in The Niche & Unique Award category for The Glades, one of Malaysia’s first sustainable townships in Putra Heights. The award recognises unique developments which caters for a niche market and for taking its offerings to an exemplary level.

Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, The Star Group Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer presented the award and accepted by Mohd Shahreza Maswan, Head of Township of The Glades.

Spanning 58 acres, The Glades exemplifies Sime Darby Property’s place-making philosophy of safety, security and sustainability. The development is centered upon a modern yet sustainable lifestyle, where efficiency meets comfort and technology meets environmental responsibility. It is designed as a self-sufficient community that caters to the needs of current and future generations.

Jauhari Hamidi said, “We would like to thank all the judges, industry experts and the public for acknowledging Sime Darby Property as a top property brand in Malaysia. Sime Darby Property also received Merit Certificates for its Chemara Hills development in Seremban and residential product, Segar in Bandar Ainsdale, presented by The Star Group Chief Operating Officer, Calvin Kan King Seong.

Recipients of the main awards at the StarProperty.my Awards 2016 were decided by a distinguished panel of judges who are notable leaders in the Malaysian real estate industry, for the purpose of ensuring credibility, diversity and impartiality.

The judging panel for the StarProperty.my Awards 2016 includes Malaysia REIT Managers Association (MRMA) former chairman Datuk George Stewart Labrooy; Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents, Property Consultants in the Private Sector (PEPS) president Datuk Siders Sittampalam; Malaysian Institute of Geomancy Sciences (MINGS) president Prof. Joe Choo; Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) president Assoc. Prof. Osman Mohd Tahir and Malaysian Institute for Architects (MIA) President Mohd Zulhemlee An, among others.
