SINGAPORE, 25 November 2016 – Sime Darby Property reinforced its position as a leading property developer in Malaysia and South East Asia, by winning the Best Developer (South East Asia) award at the South East Asia Property Awards (SEAPA) 2016 held in Singapore last night.

This is the first Best Developer (South East Asia) award win for Sime Darby Property. The developer qualified as an award contender after securing the Best Developer (Malaysia) award at the South East Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) 2016 held in Kuala Lumpur in August this year. Previously, Sime Darby Property bagged the Best Developer (Malaysia) award in 2013.

The ceremony saw country-level SEAPA award champions from Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam vying for the coveted regional title of Best Developer (South East Asia).

The SEAPA, which commenced 11 years ago is renowned for having a fully audited judging system. Leveraging upon its experience of monitoring contests and award systems around the world, BDO, one of the biggest accounting firms in the world, was entrusted with overseeing the entire judging process to ensure that the judging was conducted fairly and with integrity. BDO has been working with the organisers of the Property Awards for the past nine years.
