Sime Darby Property Recognised as a Malaysian Best Employer

Ranked among top 9 by Aon Hewitt

Kuala Lumpur, 19 March 2015 - Sime Darby Property, the leader in developing sustainable communities, today bagged the Best Employers Malaysia 2015 award from Aon Hewitt; the global talent, retirement and health solutions provider.

The developer was among only nine companies in Malaysia to win the award which recognises employers with committed and high-performing employees, as well as sustainable business goals for success.

The award to Sime Darby Property comes on the heels of two other recent wins by holding company Sime Darby Berhad, the only Malaysian organisation to receive awards for both Global and South East Asia 2014 Aon Hewitt Top Companies for Leaders.

The Aon Hewitt Best Employers award is accorded based on results from an in-depth study that surveys employees. Established in 2001, the programme has since become the most comprehensive study of its kind in Asia, with Malaysia being one of the 12 markets surveyed.

Aon Hewitt s professional and proven data-driven methodology to identify Best Employers uses three data sources and an external judging panel. The alignment between the CEO s strategic goals, HR s input on programs that meet these goals and the employee voice is examined. An external, independent jury constituted of reputable members of our strategic partner, the media, and the business and HR community, reviews the data to determine a final list of Best Employers in each country.
