Sime Darby Property Delivers on its Commitment to Urban Biodiversity with Putra Heights Community Park
  • The property developer has officially unveiled the 7.6-acre park, situated in the thriving township of Putra Heights;

Spanning 7.6 acres, the Putra Heights Community Park was completed in January 2024 and marks a significant milestone to the Group’s efforts in providing environmental stewardship through preservation of ecosystem services. The brand-new park is home to 442 trees from a variety of 30 species, half of which consist of endangered plant species recognised by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (“IUCN”).

Constructed with inclusivity in mind, the park is equipped with facilities that are appropriate and safe for children and senior citizens with and without disabilities including wheelchair- friendly pedestrian pathways with clear guides. The park is also fitted with solar LED garden lights that harness natural resources to generate energy. In addition to enjoying the calm surroundings, visitors can engage in a variety of family-friendly recreational activities there.

At its official opening ceremony, Sime Darby Property’s Chief Executive Officer – Property Development, Dato’ Ir. Mohd Sohimin Mohd Alayedin underscored the Group’s commitment to biodiversity conservation and building sustainable communities.

The official opening of the Putra Heights Community Park was witnessed by MBSJ Mayor, YBhg Dato’ Haji Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim and Kota Kemuning Assemblyman, YB Tuan Preakas Sampunathan, among other guests.

Since its establishment in 1999, the 1,700-acre Putra Heights has attracted urban dwellers looking for a peaceful, lush, self-contained residential area with excellent connectivity to the heart of the city. Nestled at the foothills of Bukit Cermin in the south of Subang Jaya, this serene, integrated township has a population of over 30,000 people.
 
Its latest project is pinned as the Group’s first Transit Oriented Development and includes the much in-demand Serasi Residences. Strategically located within Putra Heights Sentral, Serasi Residences meets the massive demand for properties in close proximity to major public transportation hubs. Homebuyers will appreciate the 400-metre covered walkway to the Putra Heights LRT station, which serves the Kelana Jaya and Sri Petaling lines and gives travellers direct access to various key destinations such as Bangsar, KL Sentral, KLCC, Wangsa Maju, Bukit Jalil, among others.
