ARA DAMANSARA, 15 FEBRUARY 2023: Sarawak-born and world-renowned contemporary artist Anniketyni Madian recently opened her highly-anticipated second solo art show at The International Gallery at KLGCC. The awe-inspiring exhibition was officially launched by the Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia, Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz earlier this week.

Themed 'SUSEY', the show is a sequel to Anniketyni’s first successful solo show and showcases her skills in material perception by mixing several mediums such as wood, metal, fabric, and resin through a series of large-scale sculptures measuring up to 6m long. SUSEY is inspired by the folklore tales of Anniketyni's native Sarawak, including the origin story of Gunung Santubong and Gunung Sejinjang, and the infamous vicious crocodile, Bujang Senang.

Sime Darby Property is playing venue host to the SUSEY art exhibition, which runs till 27 February 2023. The event is one of the company’s initiatives to create livelier townships and strengthen a sense of community through arts and culture. Admission is free.
