Dato’ Azmir Merican is currently the Group Managing Director of Sime Darby Property, a role he assumed in April 2020.
Dato’ Azmir has a wealth of cross-functional experience from his background in corporate advisory and as a senior business leader. Prior to his current role, Dato’ Azmir was previously the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Edgenta Berhad, one of the largest Asset Management & Infrastructure Solutions companies in Asia. He led the merger & acquisition as well as integration of five companies involved in Healthcare Services, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Consultancy with operations in Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, New Zealand and Australia as part of the creation of UEM Edgenta Berhad.
Dato’ Azmir is recognised for transforming UEM Edgenta into an award-winning services company offering proprietary systems and solutions, pioneering the use of IoT, data analytics, machine learning and AI for the asset management industry. The company became a digital powerhouse and regional market leader in the asset management and infrastructure solutions realm. Prior to UEM Edgenta, Dato’ Azmir was Group Chief Operating Officer (Business Units) at its parent company, UEM Group Berhad, Malaysia’s leading engineering & infrastructure services conglomerate.
He started his career as an investment analyst with Maybank Group and later worked as a manager in the financial advisory arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He then joined CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and was part of the team that established the bank's private equity business. He was involved in various aspects of its operations including fund structuring and fund raising, investment evaluation and structuring, monitoring and execution of divestment plans.
Dato’ Azmir then took the helm at AWC Berhad as Group Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director where he led the successful restructuring and transformation of the company into a leading provider of engineering services and solutions, as well as integrated facilities management in Malaysia, Singapore and the Middle East.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Haworth College of Business, Western Michigan University, United States of America.

Ms. Betty Lau a Permanent Resident of Malaysia, joined the Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property”) on 3 December 2018 as Chief Financial Officer("CFO")Designate and was subsequently appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer on 1 April 2019.
Prior to this, she was the CFO of Malaysia Land Group of Companies, Hatten Land Limited and IOI Properties Group Berhad. With more than 25 years of experience in financial management under her belt, Ms. Lau possesses a strong financial acumen within several areas of competency, including corporate restructuring, treasury management, budgetary controls, corporate reporting and taxation. She has also held various senior finance positions in both local and foreign companies including Singapore, the United States of America, and the People’s of Republic of China. Being an accountant by profession, she paved the way for her career by working in professional audit firms for six (6) years. Since then, she has served companies in a diverse list of industries namely information technologies, media and broadcast, education, leisure and hospitality as well as property development.
In her current role, Ms. Lau spearheads the full spectrum of financial management of the Group, primarily providing strategic financial leadership and support to the senior management and the Board, implementing the transformation 2.0 initiatives across all business segments/units for better efficiency and greater transparency.
Ms. Lau is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Dato’ Ir. Mohd Sohimin Mohd Alayedin is Chief Executive Officer — Property Development. He is responsible to ensure the Sime Darby Property Group’s strategic, business and organizational objectives are achieved and are being properly managed by creating new business opportunities, mergers & acquisition, establishing strategic partnerships, bringing in new catalytic development/business into property development, monetizing and acquiring of assets/lands.
Formerly the Managing Director, Project at Tropicana Corporation Berhad, Dato’ Ir. Mohd Sohimin was responsible for the overall planning and implementation for all residential, commercial and mixed-use development activities in Northern region.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University Long Beach USA in 1991, and currently is a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia. He was accorded the status of Professional Engineer in year 2000 from the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Dato’ Ir. Mohd Sohimin started his career in 1991 and developed his career in a few engineering and construction companies includes, Kulim Enterprise as site engineer from 1991 to 1992, PKNS Engineering & Construction Bhd (wholly owned by PKNS) as Project Engineer from 1992 to 1994 and Sunway City Bhd as assistant Project Manager from 1994 to 1997. He was the Head of Technical Department in Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd (subsidiary company of KHSB) from 1997 to 2003 prior being seconded to KHSB as the head of special projects in charge of Bestari Jaya development and was later promoted as General Manager, Planning, Development & Technical Audit and held the post from 2007 to 2012. Subsequently, he was the Head, Project Management of Glenmarie Properties Sdn Bhd (wholly owned subsidiary of DRB Hicom Bhd) from 2012 to August 2013 and is responsible for the overall mainly high-end property development within DRB Group.

Appollo Leong Yong Kuan is currently the Chief Operating Officer — Township Development of Sime Darby Property.
He has been with the Group since 2011, starting out as a Development Manager, in which he spearheaded the development and master planning of Sime Darby Property's flagship of multiple townships especially the City of Elmina.
Before joining the Group, Appollo spent ten years of his career in the United Kingdom, where he was an architect for Aedas, a leading international architecture and design practice based in Manchester. During his tenure with Aedas, he worked on several notable projects, specialising in Private Finance Initiative (“PFI”) developments for public schools.
In 2005, Appollo was appointed as an architect and Planning & Development Consultant at Christopher Rogers Ltd. He managed and contributed to the full spectrum of developments in this role, such as market research and feasibility, land and approval matters, master planning and redevelopment, design and construction management, as well as development funding and cash flow, among others.
In 2009, he carried his breadth of experience and expertise into the Peel Group, a leading United Kingdom infrastructure, transport, and real estate investment house. He served as a Planning & Development Consultant before relocating to Malaysia under TalentCorp's Returning Expert Programme in 2011.
Appollo holds a Master of Science in Property Appraisal & Management from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architectural Technology from the Curtin University of Technology in Australia, as well as a second Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. He is also a registered Chartered Architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (“RIBA”) and a registered Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (“RICS”).

Datuk Ir. Mohd Idris Abdullah was appointed as Chief Operating Officer — Integrated Development effective 16 January 2021.
He has been with Sime Darby Property since 2012 in various management roles.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer — Integrated Development, Datuk Ir. Mohd Idris was the Senior General Manager of Business Unit 2 and Acting General Manager of Business Unit 3. He was responsible in overseeing operations in Bandar Bukit Raja and Serenia City as well as townships in Negeri Sembilan and Johor.
He started his career as Project Manager at Road Builder Group of Companies from 1991 to 2008 before subsequently moving to IJM Corporations in 2008 as Project Manager. In 2012, he left IJM Corporations and joined Sime Darby Property as Head – Township

Aurelia Lee was appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Investment & Asset Management, effective 15 February 2023.
Aurelia has around 15 years of relevant industry experience, including 4 years of investment banking, more than 6 years in investment / private equity role at Khazanah Nasional Berhad and a further 4 years in UEM Edgenta Berhad and Sime Darby Property with oversight over strategy, planning, corporate finance and investor relations activities.
Aurelia holds a Master of Finance from RMIT University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, Monash University.

Datuk Lai Shu Wei was appointed as Chief Marketing & Sales Officer of Sime Darby Property, effective 1 April 2021.
Prior to the appointment, he was the Vice President & Head of Marketing for Unifi Business at Telekom Malaysia Berhad ("TM"), where he led Unifi's marketing strategy and initiatives. During his time there, he was also responsible for the Broadband, Mobile, TV and Content Businesses, as well as Converged Solutions for the Consumer and SME segments.
Datuk Lai Shu Wei was additionally the Chief Marketing Officer for Webe Digital, TM's Digital Services Provider and Center of Excellence for Mobility and Digital, in which he spearheaded a large team to build TM's first digitally-focused mobile service and solution.
With over 25 years of branding and marketing experience in various industries, Datuk Lai Shu Wei has also worked with Standard Chartered Bank Berhad, Maxis Berhad, Johnson & Johnson ASEAN and Nestle Berhad.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Tri-State University, Indiana, USA and completed his Executive Programme in Advanced Strategic Management from IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Chua Eng Imm has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources (“HR”), of which 15 years were with CIMB Group in various roles. These include the Regional Head of Organisation Design, Workforce Planning and Analytics, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources Business Partner (“HRBP”), as well as setting up the HR function for CIMB Bank start-ups in Vietnam and the Philippines.
During her term with CIMB, Imm successfully transformed the organisation design and workforce planning functions and played a significant role in laying the early foundation of the talent acquisition and HRBP functions for CIMB Group.
Prior to CIMB, Imm was with Maybank, where she gained over 10 years of branch operations experience and her career started in HR. Imm has a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from the University of Wales and is a Certified Credit Professional (Consumer) by the Institute of Bankers Malaysia.

Datuk Choy Kah Yew was appointed as Chief Corporate Development Officer effective 15 February 2023. He was previously the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for SP Setia Berhad Group until May 2022. Prior to that, he was with Alliance Financial Group as Associate Director, Corporate Finance and was promoted to Vice President, Corporate Banking in 2006. He joined Hong Leong Bank as Corporate Investment Banking Transactor in 2008 and re-joined Alliance Financial Group in 2009 as Head of Capital Markets.
From 1997 to 2004, he continued his career in small capital public listed companies with common controlling shareholders. He managed their respective corporate financial affairs, including financing and fund-raising, acquisitions and divestments, and their continued compliance with the listing requirements.
Datuk Choy Kah Yew has been a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 1995.

Noreen Melini Muzamli joined Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property”) on 17 August 2021.
Noreen is a certified legal practitioner and licensed company secretary with close to 20 years of working experience in several public listed companies from various sectors. Before joining Sime Darby Property, Noreen was the Joint Company Secretary / Head, Corporate Secretarial Services of Bumi Armada Berhad. She was responsible for ensuring the provision of effective corporate secretarial services at Bumi Armada and advising the Board and Management on compliance with relevant regulations and best practices on corporate governance.
Noreen, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) graduate from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, had a nine-year-long career with the Maybank Group and its subsidiaries from 2006 to 2015. She held various roles, with her last being the Regional Head, Corporate Secretarial Services of Maybank Kim Eng, where she oversaw the corporate secretarial services function in 10 countries. Noreen was also the Company Secretary of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and its group of companies. Before Maybank Group, she worked in the Legal and Secretarial Department of a public listed property developer for more than 5 years.

Ai Leen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University, UK, and a Master’s in Forensic Accounting from Wollongong University, Australia. She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining Sime Darby Property Berhad as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in November 2017, Ai Leen was attached with the Group Compliance Office of Sime Darby Berhad since 2011. She was previously attached with two of the Big Four accounting firms, namely with KPMG Malaysia and Australia and PwC Malaysia, where she delivered audit, consulting and forensic services to clients in various countries and industry sectors. With over 24 years of experience delivering various governance related services at various levels both externally and internally, Ai Leen adds value to the company with the ability to apply practical, workable good governance strategy and standards across the company.

Prior to joining Sime Darby Property, Aravindan was the Chief Internal Auditor of Wah Seong Corporation Berhad, a Malaysian listed company. He is a Chartered Accountant with more than 14 years of experience from two prominent Big 4 accounting firms i.e. PwC and KPMG and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Malaysian Institute Accountants (MIA).
Aravindan came on board as Sime Darby Property’s Chief Assurance Officer, effective 5 March 2018. Reporting directly to the Governance and Audit Committee and the Group Managing Director, he will focus on strengthening the company’s internal audit and corporate assurance function in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.

General Manager – Safety & Sustainability
Mohd Razif Mohd Yusoff joined Sime Darby Property in January 2021 as Head, Safety & Sustainability. Since then, he has introduced discipline in the organisation that ensured consistent delivery of Safety and Sustainability initiatives throughout the Group.
Previously, Mohd Razif spent 25 years in Shell, working in Malaysia, Pakistan and Shell's Headquarters in the Netherlands. During his stint at Shell, he won the Cannes Corporate Media & TV award, the prestigious Shell CEO HSSE Award, and was the contributing author to several safety publications. He was a board member of the Dutch Tripod foundation for incident investigation. In a previous regional role, he reduced fatalities from 17 deaths to zero within 5 years from 11 countries in Asia & The Middle East.
Mohd Razif left Shell in 2017 and joined UEM Edgenta Bhd, where he managed to reduce fatalities for their high-risk maintenance operations from 12 in 2017 to zero in 2020 working with the leaders and establishing an integrated management system. He also bagged 5 OSH gold awards from the Malaysian Society of Occupational Safety & Health.
Mohd Razif obtained his Degree (Hons) Mechanical Engineering from The University of Wollongong, Australia.
