Defect Status Glossary

StatusWhat does it mean?
Key ReceivedWe have received your unit keys and will begin validating the defect items you reported. Our team will assess each defect item before rectification work starts.
Defect ValidationWe are currently reviewing and validating the defect items you submitted to determine the appropriate rectification work required.
Rectification in ProgressYour reported defect items are currently being rectified. Once the work is completed, our technician will inspect and verify the quality of the rectification before the item is marked as completed.
Your Item Has Been FixedGood news! Your defect item has been rectified and verified by our technician. Please take some time to review the completed work.

If we do not hear from you within 7 days, the defect item will be automatically closed. Should you wish to arrange a clarification visit before the case is closed, please call our Customer Careline at 1 800 88 1118 to make an appointment.
Item ClosedThis status indicates that no further action is required for the defect item. The item may be closed for one of the following reasons:
• Rectification Completed – The defect has been rectified and the case is now closed.
• No Access – We were unable to access your unit to carry out or verify the rectification. Please drop off your unit keys OR arrange a new appointment by calling 1-800-88-1118 or visiting your nearest TCS Office.
• Invalid Defect – The reported issue does not fall within the defect liability or acceptance criteria.
• Unit Under Renovation – Rectification could not proceed while renovation works were in progress. Please contact 1-800-88-1118 or visit your nearest TCS Office to arrange a new appointment or key collection.
• Cancelled by Owner – The defect case has been cancelled at the homeowner’s request.
Key ReturnedAll reported defect items have been completed, and your unit keys have been returned to you. Thank you for allowing us to complete the rectification process.
